RICOH Pro™ D1600 Direct to Film
RICOH Pro™ D1600 Direct to Film
RICOH Pro™ D1600 Direct to Film System delivers digital garment decoration for the industry for the first time
High-volume digital clothing production is now an everyday production reality for industrial textile specialists
RICOH Pro™ D1600 opens the door to the industrial DTF market, offering flexible performance options from cut sheet to mass production.
Ricoh's unique staggered inkjet head configuration and integrated automatic maintenance enable high productivity and reduced downtime.
The innovative facility is the first to support digital garment production in large volumes. Equipped with a powder shaker and drying unit, it is designed to facilitate the transition from analog to digital production capabilities for screen printers and large and medium-sized textile printers.
Able to respond to varying run lengths, the Pro D1600 is based on cutting-edge solutions developed in Europe and achieves speeds of over 20 m² per hour. High-quality production is supported by optimised films sourced from Europe.
The Pro D1600's specially developed inkjet printhead configuration with three Ricoh printheads supports films up to 1600 mm long and the newly developed, DTF-optimized Ricoh Pro™ DTF ink ensures high jet speed and high white opacity.
Ricoh is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard Accreditation (GOTS) program - a voluntary accreditation program that requires all raw materials to be certified organic according to a recognized international or national standard. It also covers processing practices, input materials and requirements for environmental management, social responsibility and safety.
We will offer the system as soon as it is available.

Fast, fully automatic, brilliant resultsTake advantage of our direct-to-film solution for your digital textile printing.
PRO DTF
...is easy to use and achieves excellent results. The fully automatic direct-to-film solution combines the process steps of printing, hot melt and film in a single step. The transfer film is fed directly from the roll.
Overview
- 60 cm roll production with tension-free material guidance
- Brilliant colors thanks to an extended color space and up to four neon colors
- Optimized material from European production (including color profiles)
- Service and support from Germany
How it works
In the Direct to Film (DTF) process, the desired motif for textile printing is first printed on a transfer film. A hot melt adhesive granulate is then applied and heated. This happens automatically in a single operation. The resulting transfer is later transferred to the textile using a hot press. The advantage of this process is its flexibility. A wide variety of textiles can be decorated: polyester, nylon, leather, but also classic cotton and mixed fabrics - without any pre-treatment.
Advantages at a glance
- All-in-one solution: water-based piezo inkjet printing with integrated hot melt adhesive and heating unit
- High process speed with excellent results
- No pre-treatment of the textile necessary
- No separate dryer necessary
- Low maintenance thanks to automatic cleaning function
- High color brilliance
- Low printing costs
- Large selection of optimally coordinated consumables from European production
- Professional RIP software included
