-
cup or mug
Whether espresso or American coffee, when it comes to coffee, everyone has their own preferences. With Iconica, you can use any type of cup for a coffee moment tailored to you.
-
Extra large canister
There is an elegant canister compartment on the back of the machine. A 2-litre canister can be placed in this compartment, allowing you to use the machine for longer.
-
Patented dosing unit
The device consists of a heat exchanger with no less than two brass torpedoes inside the boiler that form the water path. This design allows for uniform and constant heating of the water. In addition, the group guarantees maximum creaminess of each blend and temperature stability, even when making several coffees in a row.
-
Adjustable brass waffle press
This allows the pressure of the lever to be adjusted to find the optimal pressure for the different types of waffles on the market. The waffle press can even be rotated manually, without the need for tools. Turning it to the right makes the lever softer, turning it to the left makes it harder. In addition, wear on seals or the physiological mechanical failure of components can be easily compensated for without the need for a technician to intervene.
-
Removable and detachable filter holder
Only Aroma machines have a removable filter holder. With a few simple steps, you can completely disassemble and clean the filter holder. A fixed filter holder does not allow you to remove the coffee deposits that build up inside. If you clean the filter holder once a week with plain water, you can be sure that you are always getting the best out of your coffee machine.

ESE - Easy Serving Espresso
ESE pads stand for "Easy Serving Espresso Pads" and are a form of pre-portioned coffee that was specially developed for espresso machines.
It is important to note that not all espresso machines automatically support ESE pods. Overall, ESE pods offer a convenient way to prepare espresso with little effort and high quality.
ESE vs. capsules
ESE pads (Easy Serving Espresso Pads) and capsules are two different types of coffee portions designed for specific coffee machines.
The choice between ESE pads and capsules depends on personal preference, machine compatibility and environmental considerations. Some consumers prefer the environmental friendliness of ESE pads, while others prefer the convenience and variety of capsules.
Here are the main differences
Shape and material:
- ESE Pads: These are flat, round coffee pads covered with filter paper. They are similar in shape to conventional coffee filters and are made of paper or another biodegradable material.
- Capsules: Capsules are small, closed containers made of plastic or aluminum, usually vacuum-sealed. They contain the ground coffee beans.
Compatibility:
- ESE pods: They are often compatible with espresso machines that support the ESE system. This system was introduced by Illy and has since found widespread acceptance.
- Capsules: Capsules are made by different coffee machine manufacturers and are often specific to a brand or model. Well-known examples are Nespresso, Keurig and Tassimo.
Environmental impacts:
- ESE Pads: Since they are mainly made of paper, ESE pads are generally more environmentally friendly and biodegradable.
- Capsules: Capsules can cause environmental problems due to their mix of materials (often plastic or aluminum). However, some brands now offer more environmentally friendly capsules and there are efforts to develop recyclable versions.
Taste and selection:
- ESE Pads: Since ESE Pads can usually be filled with loose coffee beans, they allow for a greater variety of coffee types and blends.
- Capsules: Capsules often offer a wide range of flavors and coffee blends offered by their respective manufacturers, but the selection may be limited depending on the brand.
