Pigment-based printed images are highly resistant to moisture, abrasion, UV fading and extreme temperatures, making the L502 ideal for GHS-compliant packaging materials (a Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals), as well as applications with high levels of moisture exposure, such as beverages and bath products.

The L502's dye-based prints are durable, colorful and vibrant, making them ideal for premium labeling applications commonly found in the retail sector.

With just one printer, you can benefit from both the durability of pigment ink and the brightness of dye ink. Thanks to the ink interchangeability of the L502, the label printer is more versatile than ever before in label printing.

BS5609 certified for durable labels

The L502 is tested and certified to produce BS 5609 and GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals) compliant labels to ensure chemical manufacturers meet packaging and transportation requirements. These tests test the durability of the printed image by abrasion and immersion in salt water for a period of 90 days.

Designed for industrial use

The robust construction of the L502 color label printer features an industrial all-steel housing with a print bed viewing window and status indicator. The device also features improved sensors that allow for better compatibility with specialty labels, including reflective metallic label stock. In addition to the standard roll-fed model, the L502 is also available in a continuous-feed compatible version (F502) with the same build quality and features.

The improvements also affect the toolbox of the L502 color label printer and enable optimized usability, including the "pause" and "cut" functions. Firmware upgrades can also now be carried out more easily.
